Upper body
Open the front of the upper arm.
The biceps sit on the front of the upper arm and bend the elbow and turn the palm — but because the muscle also crosses the shoulder, it opens best when the arm reaches back and across.
Gentle front-of-arm and shoulder openers give the biceps length after curling, carrying or a long stretch at the desk.

A short, guided starting point for Biceps — begin gently and stay within a comfortable range.
About the Biceps
The biceps is the two-headed muscle on the front of the upper arm, running from the shoulder blade across both the shoulder and the elbow to the forearm.
It bends the elbow and rotates the forearm, and because it also crosses the shoulder, it lengthens most when the arm reaches back behind the body.
It works alongside the chest and front of the shoulder, so biceps openers naturally pair with chest and shoulder mobility.
When people reach for this
After curls or carrying
Front-of-arm openers ease the biceps after pulling, curling or carrying loads.
Post Workout RecoveryAchy front shoulder at a desk
Gentle openers reach the biceps and front shoulder after long hours reaching forward.
Desk WorkersHow Flexor personalises this
Flexor pairs front-arm openers with chest and shoulder mobility so the whole front of the arm opens evenly, based on what you log.

Move comfortably
- Reach the arm back gently — the biceps opens across the shoulder, so go slowly there.
- Keep the stretch broad through the front of the arm rather than sharp at the elbow or shoulder.

Common questions
How do I stretch my biceps?
Reach the arm back and slightly away from the body — a hand on a wall or doorway works well — and turn gently until you feel the front of the arm and shoulder open. Because the biceps crosses the shoulder, that backward reach is what lengthens it.
Why do my biceps feel tight?
Curling, pulling and carrying all work the biceps in a shortened range, and reaching forward at a desk keeps the front of the arm closed. Gentle openers help restore its length.
Do biceps need stretching?
Keeping the front of the arm mobile can help the shoulder and elbow feel comfortable, especially around a lot of pulling or desk work. Light, regular openers are usually enough.
Can I stretch biceps and chest together?
Yes — because the biceps, chest and front shoulder all sit across the front of the body, a doorway or wall opener often reaches all three at once.
